| Rational for the web site |
|
Conceiving the exhibition as a tour increase
the possibilities to direct the project towards the
benefit of the local communities. Working extensively
with local press, companies and local associations,
clubs and unions we would hope to create awareness of
the exhibition and make it more accessible to ethnic
groups, school groups as well as enhancing disability
access. We are convinced that the exhibition will have
a broad-ranging audience and we will make all possible
effort to meet the full scope of that audience. We wish to accompany the exhibition with an extensive
site for e learning, i.e. an online platform for further
research on Hodgkin, a discussion forum, a platform
for questions and possibly e-cards. Instead of having
a basic link referring the exhibition on The Barbican
web site. Having a fully operational and searchable
site to accompany the exhibition provides the exhibition
with both a large dimension of additional information
and learning and adds a completely new concept of life
update (discussions and answers to questions) and interaction.
The site will provide the opportunity to involve the
audience further, after their visit and to create awareness
for the exhibition in general. |
